Find A Support Group in Your Area

Sometimes the best medicine comes in the form of relation to other people who experience your same challenges. We at the Brain Injury Alliance of Utah are committed to providing resources and connections to those who are suffering. One way we do that is through support groups.

If you attend a support group, you will find:

    1. Feeling that you are not alone

One group member shared, “I’m strongly encouraging anybody … to come to this group. What I love most [are] comments that are made by people … about how they’re progressing with their experiences. It gives you the feeling you aren’t alone.”

    2. Networking opportunities

One group leader observed, “I see brain injury survivors … contact each other outside of the group. The veterans are super welcoming and quick to provide tips, tricks, and resources for the new families.”

    3.Education and resources

“With new problems coming up all the time,” shared another member, “you don’t know what to expect, and trying to find out where your limits are. All the information that they share is very helpful.”

There are also support groups for caregivers.
