We are consistently told that rural hospital personnel and other medical and mental health providers aren’t aware of the free resources we provide for brain injury survivors.
Throughout the summer BIAU’s Executive Director Glenn Lanham is traveling to rural community hospitals to meet with case management staff, discharge planning teams, hospital administrators and other appropriate hospital personnel to inform and educate them about the Utah TBI Fund and the free services offered by the BIAU.
In addition to hospitals, we are meeting with community counseling centers, behavioral health facilities, and county government officials. So far we have met with professionals in Payson, Nephi, Mount Pleasant, Gunnison, Beaver, Milford, St. George, and Cedar City.
If you live or work in a rural area, and would like to request a presentation by the Brain Injury Alliance of Utah, please contact our office at 801-716-4993.
